Grammar Annexe and Free School, Sevenoaks
RP project managed a complex redevelopment proposal for the co-location of two new large-scale secondary schools onto a single site within the Green Belt, situated adjacent to a Conservation Area and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
RP successfully justified the scheme, despite being a departure from the Development Plan, leading to a planning permission which included the first new off-site grammar annexe in the country to be granted permission in over half a century.
In total, RP has secured planning permission for over 6,000 new student places within the UK education sector within primary / secondary schools and colleges. In addition, it’s secured permission for the creation of over 700 specialised student spaces for Learners with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities, 8 new sports halls and well over 100,000m2 in new outdoor school playing field provision.
