The Judd School, Tonbridge
RP has secured planning permission for the change of use of 4 hectares of agricultural land into school playing fields.
The site is located within the Green Belt, and the development was treated as a departure from standard green belt policy given the presence of some ‘urban’ features in the scheme including floodlights, car parking and a pavilion.
The success of the application was underpinned by a strong green belt justification presented in the planning application and a robust and extensive pre-application consultation dialogue with planning officers, the local community, MPs and various local amenity groups.
